Windows App FAQs
How do I get vibrations when I slouch?
When you want to receive in-the-moment feedback about your posture, try a Coaching session! In a timed Coaching session, you’ll receive gentle vibrations from your Lift sensor whenever you slouch.

First, Align your sensor to set your perfect posture for the session. Then, start a Coaching session by pressing and holding your sensor for 3 seconds until you feel one buzz. Throughout the session, you will feel vibrations each time you slouch, and you’ll receive a double vibration to signal the end of your timed session. To end your session early, press and hold your session for 3 seconds until you feel a double buzz.
What is good posture? How do I get into good posture?
The best thing you can do for your body is to be active. However, when you need to sit or stand in a static position, maintaining upright posture with a straight, stacked spine helps you look and feel your best. To get into good posture, imagine your head is being pulled straight up by a string. Lift your chest slightly and draw in your abdominals. Keep your shoulders down and back, and your chin tucked in.
What do I do if Lift isn’t tracking my posture accurately?
Everyone’s body is different, so we know that perfect posture is a little different for everyone. To make sure that Lift accurately tracks your posture, be sure to Align your sensor by getting into great posture and double-pressing your Lift.

We recommend using Align each time you put your Lift on, reposition your sensor, or change your clothes. You will also be prompted to Align when you enter a Coaching session to ensure that you are striving for your best posture throughout the session.
What happens when I press the button on my sensor?
There are two different button functions on the Lift sensor. The entire sensor acts as a button, so just press down on the clasp to activate the following functions:

  • Double-press to Align your Lift sensor for optimal posture. Sit or stand in your best posture, then double press your sensor so it knows the posture that you’re striving for throughout the day. You will feel three quick vibrations to signal that your Lift is Aligned to your body position. You can do this at any time - we recommend Aligning your sensor each time you put it on, reposition it, or change your clothes.

  • Press and Hold your sensor to begin or end a Coaching session and receive vibrations when you slouch. You will feel a single vibration when a Coaching session begins, and a double vibration when exiting the session.
Does my Lift still work if I’m not connected to the Lift app?
As long as Lumo Lift is charged, it will track your steps and posture whenever you wear it, whether or not you use your app or are near your mobile device/computer. When you open the Lift app with Bluetooth enabled on your device, data will sync from your Lift sensor to the app. We recommend that you connect with the app once a day for faster syncing, but the Lift sensor stores up to 30 days of data without syncing to the app. Your Lift sensor must be charged to track your posture and activity and provide vibration feedback in Coaching sessions - charging takes about an hour and a full charge will last about four days.
How do I wear my Lumo Lift?
Lumo Lift should be worn about an inch from your collarbone. The larger sensor portion is worn underneath your clothes, while the magnetic clasp goes on the outside of a shirt or undershirt to hold Lift in place. For most accurate results, Lift should be worn on a fitted shirt, or with the included strap clip on a tight strap, such as a bra strap or tank top. Be sure to Align your Lift each time you reposition it or change your clothes.
What do the words in the circles on the main screen mean?
The main screen displays your average posture and activity level for the current hour.

An hour of “Remarkable” posture means that you spent the vast majority of the hour in good posture, while “Good” represents an hour when you spent about half of the time in good posture. If you spend most of the hour slouching, that hour is “Slouchy.”

To achieve a “Super Active” hour, take a nice stroll or hit the gym. Taking a few breaks to hit the water cooler or visiting the coffee shop down the block will earn you an “Active” hour, while lounging or staying at your desk will result in an “At Rest” hour.
