Why We Love Our Brand New Lumo Back App

We all love the whole app, but it’s natural to play favorites, right? Keep reading to hear from some Lumo Team members about their favorite features!
Sit Straight, Stand Tall:
I’ve suffered from back pain for years, so the Posture Insight Tile is the most important one for me. I’ve found that good posture is the only thing that has really allowed me to manage my pain, so seeing my posture score and knowing what parts of the day I’m at my slouchiest is very powerful for me.
Stand Up and Be Counted:
I love the Stand Ups Tile because I think that’s the most basic thing that I can do for my fitness while I’m in the office. Seeing how many times I’ve gotten out of my chair to move around the office is a great motivator to take little breaks and stay active. It’s the first step to taking more steps!
Walk This Way:
I find the Steps Tile super motivating. I like checking in throughout the day to see how far I’ve walked and will make a point to walk if my step count is looking low.
There’s nothing more exciting than getting a huge step count and high mileage number. I wore my Lumo Back to a music festival this past weekend and kept showing my friends how far we’d all walked…I logged over 20,000 steps and 11 miles in a day!
Feel The Burn:
I’m obsessed with the calorie count feature. I’m a runner, so I love that I can see how many calories I’ve burned each day from my workouts, walking around, and even sleeping.
I love that the Sit Time Insight Tile shows me in real-time how long I’ve been sitting. I use a standing desk, so I try to keep my sitting time to a minimum. For me, sitting less is an easy way to positively impact my health.
The Sit Time Tile is my favorite because it makes me much more conscious of how much time I spend sitting every day. With all the studies that show how harmful sitting can be, I’m focused on standing more to live longer!
Baby You Can Drive My Car:
I’m stuck in traffic so much that I like knowing how long I spend in the car. Even though Lumo doesn’t vibrate while I’m in car mode, I’m more aware of my driving posture since I know how much of my day I’m stuck in a car. Plus, Lumo looks pretty cute in his little car!
I love going to bed with Lumo because I’m actually genuinely excited to check my app in the morning and see my sleep data – it’s right up there with checking email and Facebook first thing when I wake up. I’m always so surprised by how much I change sleep positions throughout the night! My roommates have all tried it too and found it so interesting that we’ve actually had mini-fights in my house because they’ve wanted to borrow my Lumo Back. Time for them to get their own!
My husband always told me that I snore, but I never believed him until Lumo Back showed me how much I sleep on my back!
